Welcome to one of the most anticipated years yet, 2021! And with new years come new marketing stats, so we’d like to share the results from our first ever Digital Brew Video Marketing Survey!

We asked over 2,000 of our contacts to help us determine that state of video marketing in 2021. Most of the professionals who participated hold some sort of marketing or managerial position in their company, and can accurately speak for their brand on the topic of video marketing in 2021.

We’re excited to share our findings with you, and hope it can help inspire you to crush your video marketing goals this year!

Use video in your strategy

Of the marketing professionals we asked, 86.32% of them said that they currently use video as a large part of their marketing strategy, and that number is only expected to grow as the world continues to favor all things digital.

The majority of marketers say they use video on their website (36.3%) and social platforms (35.8%) such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Email was the least popular form of presenting video, at only 4.7%. This is to be expected, because if you embed a video incorrectly in your email, it could be marked as spam, or ruin the layout of them email. Over 80% of marketers expect their use of video marketing to increase over the next year, while only 19.8% say it will stay the same. Either way, 0% of marketers expect their video marketing efforts to decrease in 2021.

Video marketing has proven to increase sales, as it can be an excellent way to showcase a product in action, which is probably why 73% of marketers say that video has helped increase their sales.

Depending on where you implement your video, you may not even need to use paid advertising for your video to drive traffic to your website. Since YouTube is owned by Google, it’s an excellent place to post your videos because it will help increase SEO organically.

Pictures are worth a thousand words, so how many words are videos worth? Explaining your product or service becomes so much simpler when doing it through an animated explainer video, and 93% of marketers agree.

ROI can be a tricky thing to measure when it comes to video, because it’s all about how you use your video. Sharing your explainer video on the wrong platforms could lead to a less desirable ROI, but when done correctly, your video can provide significant ROI, especially when you follow tips like these.
